These Terms and Conditions apply to purchases made through Mouthpiece Media at www.laurieschamber.com. By placing an order, you confirm that you have reviewed and accepted these terms.

Digital Products
The Evidence They Didn’t Watch is sold as a downloadable EPUB eBook. No physical product will be shipped with an eBook purchase.
Customers are responsible for confirming that they have a compatible device or reading application. EPUB files can be opened using Apple Books, Kobo and most EPUB-compatible applications. They may also be sent to compatible Kindle devices and applications using Amazon’s Send to Kindle service.
Prices and Payment
All prices are displayed in Canadian dollars unless otherwise stated. Applicable GST or HST is calculated according to the customer’s billing location and displayed before the order is submitted.
Payment must be successfully authorized before access to the digital product is provided. Customers will receive an order confirmation and download instructions at the email address entered during checkout.
Immediate Digital Delivery
By purchasing the eBook, you request that digital delivery begin immediately after payment. The download link will ordinarily be provided on the order-confirmation page and by email.
Customers are responsible for providing an accurate email address and retaining their order confirmation. If a download link is not received, customers should check their spam or junk folder and then contact laurie@laurieschamber.com.
Refund Policy for Digital Products
Because digital products cannot be physically returned, all eBook purchases are final once access to the download has been provided or the file has been downloaded.
Refunds will not be issued because a customer changes their mind, purchases the wrong format, lacks a compatible device or application, or no longer wants the product after receiving access to it.
This policy does not limit any rights that cannot legally be excluded. Please contact Mouthpiece Media if:
the purchased file was not delivered;
the file is corrupted or technically defective;
the wrong product was provided;
a duplicate charge occurred; or
a refund or cancellation is otherwise required by applicable law.
Where possible, technical delivery problems will first be resolved by supplying a replacement download.
Personal-Use Licence
Purchasing the eBook gives the purchaser a limited, personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to read the book on their own compatible devices.
The purchaser may download and retain the eBook for personal use. The purchaser may not:
share or forward the file to another person;
upload it to a website, file-sharing service, social-media platform or public storage location;
reproduce or distribute copies;
resell, sublicense or commercially exploit the file;
remove, alter or attempt to defeat its identifying watermark; or
make the eBook available through a library, group, organization or shared account without written permission.
Purchasing the eBook does not transfer ownership of the copyright or any other intellectual-property rights.
Individual Watermarking
Each purchased eBook is individually watermarked using LemonInk. The watermark may include an order number and masked purchaser information.
The eBook may also contain invisible identifying markers embedded in the file. These markers are intended to discourage unauthorized distribution and may allow an unlawfully shared copy to be traced to the original order or purchaser.
Information used for watermarking is processed for digital delivery, copyright protection, fraud prevention and enforcement of the personal-use licence. Additional information about the handling of personal information is available in the Mouthpiece Media Privacy Policy.
Copyright
The eBook and its contents are protected by Canadian and international copyright laws. Except for the limited personal-use licence described above, no part of the eBook may be copied, reproduced, distributed, republished or transmitted without prior written permission from the copyright holder, except as permitted by law.
Customer Responsibility
Customers must provide complete and accurate billing, payment and email information. Mouthpiece Media is not responsible for delays caused by incorrect customer information, an unavailable email account, spam filtering, incompatible software or a customer’s failure to follow the supplied download instructions.
Customers must not use the website, checkout system or digital products for unlawful, fraudulent or abusive purposes.
Content Notice
The Evidence They Didn’t Watch contains detailed discussion of child homicide, mental illness, suicide and evidence presented during a murder trial. It is intended for mature readers.
Website and Service Availability
Reasonable efforts are made to keep the website, checkout and download services available. Temporary interruptions may occur because of maintenance, hosting problems, payment-provider outages or other circumstances outside the reasonable control of Mouthpiece Media.
If a technical problem prevents delivery of a paid order, contact laurie@laurieschamber.com so that the order can be investigated and the file supplied or another legally appropriate remedy provided.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mouthpiece Media is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of the website or an inability to use a digital product. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Changes to These Terms
These terms may be updated when the website, products, payment systems or legal requirements change. The terms displayed at the time an order is placed will apply to that purchase.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the applicable laws of Canada, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights that apply in the purchaser’s jurisdiction.
